BUYING AT AUCTION
Viewing the Auction
Our opening hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. (We are closed on Tuesdays for cataloguing). Viewing times for the auction are from 9am Wednsday and prior to the auction on Thursday.
At the Auction
You will need to register as a bidder on the day of the auction. You will receive a bidders number which you must show to the auctioneer if you are the successful bidder.
Absentee Bidding
If you are unable to make it to the auction you can enter an Absentee Bid on our website or during viewing times at our auction rooms. You can also bid live here.
Buyers Premium
A Buyers Premium of 20% incl GST is added to the successful bid.
Payment
Payment must be made prior to collection after the auction. We accept Cash or EFTPOS. We do not accept credit cards.
Collection times
Your lots must be picked up from Nelson Auction House by 4:00pm on the Friday following the auction. Please contact us if for some reason you are unable to pick up your lots by this time.
Any buyer who does not collect and pay for their items within two weeks will be excluded from future auctions.
No responsibility is held by Nelson Auction House if lots are not picked up by this time and some items may incur storage fees. Courier or furniture moving can be arranged by request.
